Today I saw a pair of male and female bluebirds, a wild turkey, chickadees, assorted sparrows, blue jays, crows, nuthatches nesting in my bluebird house, a red-headed woodpecker, and two hawks that I couldn't identify; and I saw a beaver, snapping turtles basking in the sun on floating logs, and a red fox - all within 500 feet of my house.
All in all, a pretty good day. And that wasn't even the half of it.
